Water coolers & bottled spring water delivery service for London

No more trollies full of Bottled Water!

"Those who drink sterilised water should for once consider what effect such chemically adulterated water has on their organisms... it will inevitably lead to body decline and will cause a spiritual debilitation and a systematic degeneration of the very foundations of manhood."

Reduced Carbon Footprint

Living-Water is working hard with Carbon Digest to become carbon free - Sustainability really matters to us and how we assess our carbon footprint is calculated by looking at all areas of our business:

Cutting Power Consumption

We have implemented strict new policies: all lights, air conditioning and computers be switched off in our call centre, warehouse and bottling plant at all times outside of office hours, all walls are to be painted white to reflect natural light and reduce unnecessary electricty usage, all staff prevented from access to printing (wonderful additional cost savings as well!!!) and all printer cartridges to be recycled. To ensure we meet these guidelines we have implemented a strict system of internal staff fines with all monies going to our dedicated charity (see charity tab).

Reuseable Bottles

Yearly an estimated 50000 Tonnes of plastic bottles end up in land refill dumps. We only buy the very best bottles (www.capsnap.com) so we can re-clean them up to 50 times. Subsequently all bottles are sent for recycling at the end of their working life and do not litter land refill sites!!

Since 2008 we have planted through Carbon Digest a new tree for every additional cooler supplied - By end 2009 Living-Water will be a carbon neutral company.

Road miles required to service our coolers

We are committed to:

  • upgrading our entire vehicle fleet to liquid gas vans by end of 2009 and meeting Ken Livingston goals on vehicle emissions
  • We have located our warehouses in as close proximity to our customers as possible
  • Only using gas powered forklifts in our warehouses

Country from where our coolers are sourced and type of cooler

W
here possible we are committed to:
  • Installing mains (POU) cooler solutions as agreed with the customer
  • Sourcing our coolers in the UK or Europe
  • Supplying only coolers using environmentally friendly R134A compressor gases
  • Always sourcing the most power efficient coolers
HELP THE ENVIRONMENT - SUSTAINIBILITY MATTERS

High levels of greenhouse gases have resulted in the devastating effect of El Nino with more and more violent hurricanes and typhoons predicted. We at Living-Water will work with all our clients to slash our carbon emissions. Off setting carbon emissions does not reduce emissions but does allow us to position ourselves as carbon neutral.

Living-Water only use Save a Cup

The Save a Cup scheme was established by the vending, foodservice and plastics industries to collect the millions of hard-wall polystyrene cups used in the UK every week.

The Save a Cup Recycling Company administers the scheme. With more than 1 billion cups collected so far for recycling, the company's objective is to increase the amount of cups collected in line with Government Targets for recycling packaging waste.

Despite already providing Europe's only successful collection and recycling service of its kind, the award-winning Save a Cup Recycling Company recently completely reviewed and restructured its business.

There is now more choice for member companies (which include organisations of all sizes and kinds) in the methods of cup collection - featuring special collection bins. Members benefit from savings achieved through removing cups from the general waste, and avoiding the ever-increasing landfill and waste management costs.

At the same time Save a Cup, a not-for-profit company, developed an innovative financial structure incorporating a revolutionary 0.00018p environment charge on all new vending cups - having obtained full approval from the cup manufacturers and the Office of Fair Trading. The charge will help support the cost of running and expanding the service into the future.

Despite the additional cost, Living-Water as of July 2008 only purchases and supplies cups belonging to the Save a Cup scheme.
