Direct Chill is basically a practical, simple and effective method of cooling water very quickly, and one of the most modern methods of cooling drinking water.

Direct Chill guarantees the highest hygiene standards, because the water from the water mains does not remain still; it continuously flows throughout the system, passing through a stainless steel coil, which is in close contact with a copper evaporator coil containing the cooling or refrigerant gas, keeping the water constantly cool and also ensuring that bacterial proliferation is inhibited.

The Direct Chill technology works via conduction; the cold emitted by the refrigerant gas is transferred into the coil through which the water is flowing, chilling the water as it flows through the system and keeping it icily chilled.

Direct Chill is also a very safe method of chilling the water, as the stainless steel coil through which the water passes is situated close to but separate from the copper evaporator coil. This ensures that the cooling gas cannot not mix with the drinking water, even if there is a breakdown.

Living-Water offers both a bottled water cooler and a mains or Point of Use (POU) water cooler that uses Direct Chill technology:

Fountain Water Cooler – Living-Water’s Fountain water cooler is ideal for areas where a large cooling capacity is required, such as schools, sports venues, gyms, and factories.

The Fountain comes in floor standing or wall-mounted models, is rugged and durable, has a small carbon footprint and can be fitted with optional filters.

The Fountain, with its combination of dispenser jet and/or a swan neck dispenser, drain-away system and Direct Chill system means that there is a constant supply of chilled water in such high-traffic areas.

Pure Water Cooler – Living-Water’s Pure Water Cooler offers hot or cold water on tap, Direct Chill Capacity, an Activated Carbon Triple Action Filter System, and added lime scale control. It

Offers a 40 cups per hour dispensing capacity and can dispense 8 consecutive glasses of water at below 10°C from a large port-hole that is ideal for filling coffee carafes and sports bottles. Other features include an internal cup dispenser, Pressure Vessel Technology, Push Button Taps with indicator lights, Soft touch electronic dispensing, and more…

Purchasing a Living-Water water cooler with Direct Chill will help you keep cool and save you money.
