Water And The PH Balance In The Human BodyWhat do whatever and the pH balance in the human body have to do with one another? Well first of all we need to understand what we mean when we talk about the pH balance; pH is basically the correct proportion of acid and alkaline that is in our bodies.

The balance between positive and negative ions is the balance between acid and alkaline in our bodies.  This is expressed in the term pH, which loosely means potential of Hydrogen (and refers to the hydrogen in the water molecule).

It is very important that we keep this balanced if we want our bodies to work the way they ought to and remain healthy, and it can be done quite easily by just drinking water on  a regular basis, which we need to do for every part of our bodies anyway.

Water and the pH Balance in the Human Body

Our bodies are basically electric in nature, and every action that takes place in our bodies creates both acidic and alkaline situations. Alkalinity and acidity of a solution is measured on a 0-14 scale, and the human body’s optimum balance is basically neutral, at 7.365 – this is shown in the pH of the blood.

When we do not drink water as often as we should and the body becomes dehydrated it changes the molecular water structure in our bodies. This can lead to an acid/alkaline imbalance, which will cause chemical reactions that take place in our bodies to do so in an unnatural manner

More often than not, it is the acidity levels in our bodies that we need to worry about. These conditions can be caused by:

  1. Pollution: Exposure to pollution in the air we breathe and/or smoking
  2. Stress: Emotions are electric fields that can alter the properties of water contained in your body, especially negative emotions, and this can affect your health
  3. Sedentary Lifestyle: Lack of exercise and physical activities can cause acidic levels to rise
  4. Dehydration: Severe dehydration, which is also associated with chemically manufactured foods and beverages that contain toxins
  5. Electro Magnetic Fields: Exposure to microwave ovens, cell phones and other electrical appliances or overhead power lines

In order to ensure that the pH balance of your body is maintained, try to relax, do not speak on the cellular phone all day, spend time outdoors breathing in pure fresh air, and DRINK MORE WATER. Eating a balanced diet containing lots of fresh food and doing aerobic exercises will also help your maintain the balance.

When we are healthy, our bodies, in the form of our lungs and kidneys, will automatically keep the pH balanced. This essentially means that if you get some exercise regularly (even a 15 minute walk a day will do), eat a healthy diet, and make sure that you drink fresh water on a regular basis, you should not have any problems.
