Myth: Only water that is completely clear is drinkable.

Myth: Water passed through a filter is cleansed of any potentially dangerous contaminants.

Water is, in fact, filtered by a filter, which removes some potentially dangerous chemicals from the water. On the other hand, dirt accumulates at the filter point, which can turn into the ideal environment for the proliferation of germs. In and of itself, a filter does not have an outlet via which the contaminants can exit. A potential remedy would be to clean your filter every hour to two hours; however, this may not always be possible. In order to remove potentially dangerous contaminants from water, water purification may prove to be more effective.

Myth: If you don’t get enough minerals in your diet, drinking mineralized water will make up for it.

Some individuals are of the opinion that consuming a few glasses of water that has been fortified with minerals on a daily basis is the same as consuming a serving of veggies. However, there is no rational basis for holding such a notion.
