Cleaning and deodorising wastewater for reuse is becoming an emergent and fast-growing clean technology sector, much aided by companies that are coming up with innovative new ideas and inventions to push this movement along.

BBR Filtration Ltd is one of these companies focused on the clean technology sector, including emission control and filtration de-odourisation for water and air. BBR conducted a trial with the Toho Water Authority in Florida, US in 2016, and its patented filtration deodorisation technology removes over 99% of hydrogen sulphide from wastewater streams.

According to holding company Verditek’s Board, this new technology holds great advantages for wastewater use, including greater sustainability and lower costs.

According to Theodore Chapman, CEO of Verditek, the filtration deodorisation technology has proven itself commercially and is capable of tackling a vast range of odours within air and water at a high efficiency.

“We are delighted to announce our intention to list on AIM, an attractive marketplace for us at this transformational juncture in Verditek’s development, as we look to progress our three clean tech businesses with exciting, disruptive technologies and proven products in solar, carbon capture and filtration. We envisage that the listing will enable us to accelerate their growth, scale the businesses and bring each of the proprietary products to market. Verditek has been founded to bring disruptive clean technologies with possible early revenues to market whilst delivering long-term game changing technologies for the sector,” he said.

This is the kind of technology that is desperately needed at this time when many countries across the globe as well as the water sector are looking for unique ways in which to source clean drinking water as well as water for agriculture and industry in a time that climate change is causing more and more droughts across the globe.
