You are required to consume water in order to maintain proper hydration; you must consume a total of eight glasses of water each day; you are not permitted to consume coffee; you are permitted to consume bottled water; bottled water is unhealthy for you; and so on and so forth.

It is not surprising that people are confused about what to do given the complicated nature of the laws and regulations that govern drinking water given that these rules and regulations appear to change on a fairly regular basis.

If you are perplexed about how much water one has to consume in order to maintain their hydration levels like I am, then you are not alone in your perplexity.   • Instead of attempting to down two litres of water all at once, try sipping on water throughout the day in between your other beverages and meals; this will help you stay hydrated.
  • If you are engaging in physical activity or sports, you should consume an electrolyte-containing sports drink.
  • You may give your drinking water some flavour by putting a few slices of lemon, orange, or berries into your water jug. This will impart some flavour to your water.
